Sarah Cole is a Professor of Law at the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, specializing in labor law and alternative dispute resolution programs. She is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School, graduating with honors. Following law school she clerked for the Hon. Eugene A. Wright of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She practiced labor and employment law with a Chicago law firm prior to beginning her career in academia.
Professor Cole has focused her research on the legal issues and policy that have arisen as a result of the increased use of alternative dispute resolution (ADR). She is co-author of several publications and has written and published extensively on mediation, arbitration, and other facets of the labor/management process. She consults regularly with the OSBA dispute resolution committee and the Ohio Supreme Court Commission on Dispute Resolution on dispute resolution issues arising in Ohio. She is also on the panel of arbitrators for AAA, OCB, OCSEA, NASD, and BBB. Until this most recent SERB appointment as an Administrative Law Judge, she has also been a Fact Finder for the agency. She is well versed in O.R.C. §4117 and brings a wealth of talent to the organization and those we serve.
